Easy Results with Radio exists
for you, the home based or small business owner, to find answers to your
questions about effective radio advertising and how to utilize it to grow
your business. You will also find resources on radio's new cousin, podcast
advertising and information on its old friend, publicity.
I worked from home pursuing several businesses over the years including childcare, freelance writing and eventually ended up providing support services to small and home based business in promotions and public relations. I thought I was content with working at home until one day I heard a radio commercial playing that described me perfectly. While I wasn't really looking for a job outside the home, I couldn't resist applying. I ended up accepting a position as radio advertising account executive, which is a fancy way of saying salesperson and I haven't looked back since.
Until I started working in the industry, I had no clue how great an investment radio is. Despite delivering dozens of presentations on publicity, business planning, and target marketing, I had never considered radio as an advertising medium for myself or my clients. I was under the illusion that radio was expensive and out of reach for the average home or small business owner. I never even checked out the cost. So from that regret this site was conceived.
This site is for those who want to avoid becoming members of the "I've tried radio, it didn't work" club.
Radio is not rocket science, but it is a unique medium. The same can be said for publicity and for podcast advertising. There are dozens of pitfalls that can undermine the effectiveness of your campaign.
It's too easy for a sales rep to take an order without asking all the right questions and most business owners often do not know which questions are being missed.
My hope is that Easy Results with Radio will help you avoid the pitfalls and go straight to getting results.
