Benefits of Podcasting: Better Targetting, Lower Initial Investment
The same benefits of traditional radio advertising are applicable to Podcast advertising, with the noted difference of typically lower initial investment and a more highly targetted audience. It typically costs less to advertise on internet radio than it does for a traditional radio campaign because you will typically reach a smaller audience. The smaller audience may be better suited to your sales message if you choose your podcast well.
There are literally thousands of podcasts available to advertise on. Your challenge will be to find the one that is right for you. Just as you would research traditional radio to find the station with the right target market, you will need to research to find the right podcast or podcasts to advertise on as well.
